Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Personal Information Management System (PIMS 2.0), operated by the Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms (DPAR), Government of Nagaland, collects, uses, and protects information when you visit or use this website.
Information we collect
This website collects information in the following ways:
- Information you provide directly — such as your PIMS Code, name, mobile number, and Aadhaar-linked details, when you register for or use employee self-service features.
- Automatically collected information — such as browser type, IP address, pages visited, and time of visit, collected through standard server logs for security and analytics purposes.
- Public lookup queries — search terms entered on the public employee-record lookup are processed to return results and are not linked to your identity unless you are signed in.
How we use your information
Information collected through this website is used only for the following purposes:
- Maintaining and updating official personnel and service records.
- Enabling employee self-service functions, such as viewing service history and requesting corrections.
- Verifying identity during registration, using DigiLocker-based authentication.
- Improving the security, performance, and usability of this website.
- Complying with applicable laws and government reporting requirements.
This website does not sell, trade, or rent personal information to third parties. Information may be shared with other Government of Nagaland departments strictly for official personnel-administration purposes.
Public employee-record lookup
The public search feature on the homepage returns only a limited set of fields — PIMS Code, Name, Designation, Department, Office, and Year of Birth — for the purpose of quick, public verification of an employee's official posting. No other personal, financial, or family information is exposed through this feature.
Cookies
This website uses session cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your accessibility preferences (such as text size and high-contrast mode). These cookies do not track you across other websites and are not used for advertising.
Data security
Reasonable technical and organizational security measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access-controlled administrative modules, and role-based permissions, are in place to protect information held on this website from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
Your rights
Employees may view their own service records through the employee dashboard and may request correction of inaccurate details through their department's nodal officer, subject to verification against official service records.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be revised from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
